Ben Everyman, Blackout Lights, The May Cause & Black Phoenix Orchestra

Ben Everyman-
Playing his first show as a solo artist, a great opener to get the crowd psyched for more music! On stage with a guitar and whitty lyrics, that are sure to make anyone smile.

Blackout Lights-
They have sculpted their own sound, something I really like to hear. You can definitely tell these dudes are influenced by alot of different genres. The band played the show missing 2 band members and having borrowed a bass player from another band. Look for their EP out in September 2010

The May Cause-
Wow what a voice! Lead singer Curt has one of those voices that just makes you get lost. Not to mention the whole band has a very neat stage presence, the cool lights and fog adding perfectly to this mysterious vibe they have going. I recommend seeing them, they have quite the following, and live show!

Black Phoenix Orchestra-
Calgary band playing their very first Vancouver show. People were sitting down really not knowing what to expect and as soon as they started playing everyone in the crowd had this look of "I didn't expect this" across their face, the crowd got up and grooved. It was great to see this reaction! I loved every moment of their set, with songs that they just let move naturally. Having seen them live 3 times you are definitely in for a different and awesome experience every time!

  1. all people disconnect, and follow and tweet and friend and like,
    comment,
    wall write,
    now we know,
    someone,
    goes out on her own,
hears songs to etch like soundtrack sketch,
    sweet feels the night,
short words, soft words, long words, sigh....
one last girl to keep the beat....
    one last girl who dances,
    and waits.
    most people miss the point,
    lone,
    but conjoined.
