Who did it better

Miss June 75 originally written by the Brian Jonestown Massacre.
Take a listen to the original.
Brian Jonestown Massacre

Then a little band from Ohio came along and remade it.
The Volta Sound

Now the question for you.... who did it better?

  1. I personally love the Volta Sounds remake. The vocals are so dreamy in this song, and it states on their myspace page "we are the lets hold hands kind of people" it makes you want to hold someones hand. If I am in the right mood I can listen to the volta sound's version and just melt. If I am not then the 8 minutes can sometimes be a bit long.

As for the original done by BJM I am not really a fan of Matt Hollywoods voice in this song. I do however like the arrangment of the music better and instruments better.

As a whole I vote The Volta Sound.

  3. maybe i'm just crazy but i think the volta sound version just how the vocals sit with the music kind of reminds me of the beginning of freebird!

  4. holy jesus. the volta sound version is way better. the vocals are so smooth and laid back, just like the the tempo of the song. not as grating as how the vocals are in the BJM version(usually i am a fan of grating vocals). also, the keyboard is an excellent addition to the progression of the song! so, no doubt, the volta sound did it better. :3
