What would you choose?

If you had to choose one...
Either owning records, or going to shows.
For the rest of your life what would it be?

*added note*
This is a world without music on the internet. You have to choose records or shows, and records are the only way to listen to music other than going to the show.

  1. That's a tough one but I would have to say going to shows. Hmmm I wonder if I made the right choice cause then what would you listen to when you got home...ah MP3's I found the loophole

  2. its a tough call but I would probably have to say records. seeing a band with great energy live cant be topped. but there is something special about going through records and reading inserts/lyric sheets. besides, most the bands i listen to arent around anymore so records are all I really have to remeber them by.

  3. I have to say going to shows. the energy you feel from the crowd and the band its just so much more amazing than albums. When you are there nothing exists but that moment with the band. but... like the man, what would you listen to otherwise. Solution... shows 24 hours a day, everywhere!!!!

  4. The show. You can't beat the energy! And though listening to an album really closely and picking out minute details is cool and all, its so impressive to see it all or a really cool variation on it done right in front of you. Being able to visually admire the craftsmanship that goes in to preforming the song is quite something.

  5. records. you get to listen to the same music again and again - and save it for special occasions. besides, standing for two hours can get tiring after a while - assuming it is only rock music we are talking about. what about other genres where you can't go to gigs - classical, dance etc?

  6. I would choose shows. Seeing live music is therapeutic, it takes you to a place you can't get to.

It is very inspirational to see the musicians and see how they react to the music they are playing and where they will take it.
