1. When did your band form? How has your music evolved?
Mike- In 2007, mainly as a side project/excuse for us to get together once a week to drink and jam. The first record was just us jamming the same songs over and over until they felt right. The latest record was a little more focused in terms of Andrew or Chad coming in with a song and us just fine tuning it together.
2. Who writes your songs? Is there a main theme or topic for your songs?
Chad- Andrew and I, then we all put them together. The main topic is usually wide open spaces and tight corners. I always have the Canadian wilderness on my mind.
3. What has been the best moment as a band so far?
Mike- After driving all the way to South By South west to find out that our entire tour was canceled to get us home.. Oh wait, best moment? I thought our record release show in Toronto was pretty fun, and our after parties are usually pretty rad.
4. How does music affect the way you see the world?
Chad- It's a sea of skeletons driving around a rotting planet in barbie suvs while eating plastic.
Mike- It gives me a really bad love/hate relationship with the world.
5. What are the biggest challenges for your band?
Finding a way to quit our jobs so we can do this more often...and finding coffee.
6. What can fans expect in the future from you? What do you hope to accomplish?
Chad- European tour, new record, happiness.
7. What songs are you currently listening too?
Mike-
Electric Wizard - Funeralopolis
Neil Young - The Hitchhiker
Kittens - Great Dane
Chad-
Hoyt Axton- Revelations
Sick. Can't wait for the show!
